I'll say m like now after 30k+ miles and with core lvl spring front and rear air bags there really to much stiffness. But I will say they perform very well on moderate to heavy off roading then they work great real good ride. Truck corners great though. I'm not sure what to put on yet so still looking.

My experience as well. Yellow/Blue Bilsteins have been solid performers, can't go wrong with that choice.

Perfectly said. I love my Blue and Yellows especially at $245 shipped for all four.

With age comes the cage
I put on the yellow & blue's yesterday (on the "05"). "E" all of the above good things said about them.. I had 45k on the stocker's the rear "stocker's" are now located on the 32' GN (along with two more - when I built the trailer I incorporated the dodge rear shock dimension into the brackets) . The truck / trailer shock combo is great for the ride and handling.

The yellow blue HD Bilsteins seem to have an initial soft spot and then firm control. They soak up the cracks, small bumps/initial jar better than the yellow non adjustable KYB I have on another vehicle, also better than the stock units. Aside of that they seam about the same, but I think the KYBs are a bit stiffer overall.
How well a particular shock works on a vehicle is different from vehicle to vehicle, but I think the Bilsteins HDs are tuned for a bit softer street ride. The KYBs don't seem to have that compromise. IMHO, the difference in not that much, however.... but your seat may be more calibrated than mine. They both seam to be about as durable, much more than some other brands.

I replaced my stockers with Bilstein at about 30k. They were a huge improvement. At 230k I put a set of KYB monomax's on and they were a huge improvement over the worn out Bilsteins. I have about 20k on the KYBs and I think they are not quite as stiff as the original Bilsteins but I like them very much.

I don't think Bilstein makes a blue/yellow shock speced for our trucks with a 2" lift, that is why I got the 5100's for mine. I'd recommend calling them and asking to be sure, their tech support guys are top notch.

dont buy into the bilstein crap there overated, had 2 leak in less than 10,000miles, warranty is crap. oh and when they were new i sprayed multiple coats of clear lacquer.. guess what 6 months later they were tarnished black/ white and corroded..
save money get the dodge red shocks finish last twice as long and no pitting. better ride than the black dodge shocks.
