Kore rear mini packs
Worth it? Am trying to decide if I should just stay w/stock leaf springs and bilstiens in the rear. I want to level the front with the Kore kit. My concern is the towing cabability. I tow a 7500lb boat and dont want to sacrifice safety. I also would like a little better balanced ride without the bucking of the stock rear leafs.
Any one have opinions on which way I should go?
Thanks in advance.

I have the Lorenz mini packs but basically the same as the Kore. I thought they made a big difference, worth it IMO. You could check out the Lorenz dual-purpose leafs, which are designed for a softer ride without giving up towing capacitites. I just threw some firestone airbags on with my mini-packs for when i'm towing heavy and it works great. Carli also make a nice long travel air bag.

Well for a while I had a 3500lb Arctic Fox camper in the bed with a 10,000lb fishing boat (~1000lb tounge weight) hooked up using an extended hitch. With the short bed the center of gravity of the camper was directly over the rear axle. I was going to check the axle loads at the truck scale but was afraid.....
I could measure the height of the rear bumper, load the camper and hook up the trailer, then put 85 psi in the air bags and bring the bumper back up to the original ride height. Sure seemed to sit lower before filling the air bags with the mini packs though so i can't imagine it would be good for them without the airbags to take the extra load when running heavy.
Sold the camper now so its just the occasional excavator and the boat, can't even tell they are back there with the airbags.

My two cents worth: I love the mini packs in back. Really took the hop out of the rear on wash board roads and rough freeways. Highly recommend them. Kore, Lorenz, Carli are all simular in design. I would look for best price. Go with air bags only if you haul often. I had bags while my truck was used for work. It has been retired to a play vehicle now. Sold the bags as it stiffened the ride even with out air in them. No regrets.
Note: If you install make sure you retorque the u- bolts after 100 to 200 miles.
