Yeah, and my '05 sticker says 50# for 'light' and 60 for 'heavy'. Looks like we all part of a 'long-term, real-world' test program

Take that sticker off the door jam... so if you ever go to a shop they dont let the air out
My buddy has a gasser...he gets his oil changed at the dealer...
every time he goes there the dopes let the air (nitrogen) out of his tires

If I'm not mistaken, Dodge had the same recall just a couple years ago, for same reason. FWIW, I believe in tire mileage. When I got my 04, I set the tire pressure per the specs on the door sticker. The fronts wore inside and outside edges because, low tire pressure. The rears wore the centers out prematurely because, high tire pressure. I went back to the way I usually do it, adjust the tire pressure to get the tires to wear square, or flat across the tread. Now I run 75 front, 37 rear and I'm getting the maximum tire life.

my '03 2500 2wd QC door sticker had 50 frt and 75 rear. 50 psi frt was no where near enough tire pressure empty let alone when loaded. I've found 65 frt and 45 rear for running around empty works best for my rig. Towing the 32' with 26000+ lbs or the 11200 lb 5er 65 frt and 80 rear woks best. The tires have 60000+ miles and are about 60-70 percent gone.
The door sticker is just a recommendation for truck newbys and makes a good starting point for different loads we may carry.

I always go by the tire manufacturer, like a few other said. If you go by the manufacturer of the vehicle, we could have another fiasco(sp) like ford did with the explorer. If you paid any attention to that loooooong story you heard about ford lowering the air pressure to somewhere around 26 psi for a better ride. Not a good idea ever!
