yup i got 10 - 13 mpg pulling 28 ft enclosed trailer adout 8000-10000lbs thought it sucked then thought about going though west virginnia hills with cruse on passing about every truck out there and not doing it on purpose . would like it to be better but its better than 7 with my gas and not knowing when it will not make it up the next hill
oh i run 68 mph all the time

Glad I kept the 2003 HO
Just back from 1200 trip only have 8500 miles on the truck but in the city I was getting 16-17 and at 71 in cruse was getting up to 22 mpg highway never under 21 ..... not bad for a 1 ton dually box was loaded but not towing. I also drive pretty easy!

My 06 MC started around 15.5MPG when brand new and now with 18K miles it is touching 19.5 every tank (under 70MPH). My father ran to Florida and back with my truck and ran about 80-85MPH the whole way and got about 16.2. Not bad for really winding it out on that long stretch. Just give it a little time. The mileage will come up. Scotty

Around 60/65 seems to be the magic number if you wish to beat 19MPG. I can squeeze just over 20 MPG if I keep my cummute speed to these limits, 23 miles each way. Once I push up to and over 70 then it starts to cost, will drop down to 17/18. I also limit the blacksmoke starts from the lights which helps alot too but somtimes I just can't help it. Did see a drop of aleast 1/2 MPG with winter temps coming in here in Colorado.

I just made a 500 mile trip, overhead read on average 24.0 mpg, hand calculated it came out to 18.5 mpg. This was running 60-65 mph, once you get up over 2 grand on rpms the mpg start really dropping. I had some idiot swear up and down to me that his ford excursion got 32 mpg because that is what his overhead was reading lol, I tried to explain to him that his box offsets that but he told me that it was one of the performance enhancements of his box. LOL

03 with the 3:73 gearing, auto back and forth to work ~80 miles per day. 1/2 highway - 1/4 back roads- 1/4 city.
Avg 65-70 on the highway
45-50 back roads
0-45 city
(All total) I average 19.5 and as high as 19.7 MPG. on the overhead.
Mostly 19.5 MPG by hand.
