Just got 19.4 MPG

I have been getting 17.5 driving like I want to. I like driving about 75 on the road and normal in the city. I dropped to 65 on the road and my mpg shot up to 19.4, my rpm's stay at about 1900. Is this the same for everyone else out there? I have 80psi in my tires. That is the most they can hold.

Everything is done by hand calculating.

I get about 16 or so if I drive 75. So I stay about 65 and always get over 20.

Not really a difference in engines as much as just plain old variables. You have a 6 speed, he has an auto. Different trucks are outfitted with different lifts, options, bumpers, tires, etc. There are also environmental variables such as altitude, wind, and terrain which play major roles in fuel mileage.

I just got an 06 2500 8 ft bed and I got 17. something using hand calculations.
I had a 95 and always got 20 mpg.
I drive 400/week most at 65 to 70 mph. Hope it gets better, only have 20k miles on the odo.

went to Iowa about a month ago and got 17.7 mpg running never slower than 75 and often between 80-85 into a 20 mph head wind hand calc from the total truck stop in marrietta ok to the qt truck stop in platte city mo just north of KC and could have gone another 80 or so miles on the tank before the fuel light came on. With one of the guys that rode with me up there driving that stretch to OKC on the way back we got 15.5 mpg and they claimed they never drove under 80 and on occasion governed out the truck tailing a minivan after midnight that sunday. "I tried to sleep so I could go to school and work on that monday so I can't really authenticate the claim but from the exhaust drone I could tell we were at at around 85 most of the times I woke up"

You can easily lose 1-2 mpg by driving at 75 vs 60 or 65. If you could stomach it, you would even do better at 55, but the rest of us would run you over

I have been getting 19-20.5 mpg with mine empty, I have gotten as low as 17 when driving hard and going 70 plus, with the edge set on 5 I get the bet MPG if I stay off the pedal and keep it under 65 of so.

You're sure right about that FirstDodge. I can't believe the mileage at 50- 55mph! (It's so hard to keep it there! )
