Belt looks ok but after looking at things myself tonight I think the dealer has it right. Even when sitting in park turning the wheel it is unsmooth.

I may change the belt at the same time.

Well the steering box was the problem. A little over a grand after tax and it drives like new again.

I never understand why Dodge likes to do things that just work? Why not built things strong enough to last a couple years?

Yup and they wouldn't go good on it . I guess they draw a line and stick to it.

Mine started doing same thing yesterday have appointment at dealer monday.75000 on odomoter have 100000 mile waranty should cover it.

I am wondering if yours had the same failure of the steering box mine did? Let us know when you find out.
