I don,t know why you would need to hard wire it. There is a aux plug on the front of the stereo that you can plug the ipod into.

Thats what I did...Buy one of these Belkin chargers and a male to male aux cable, at least 8 feet long...I hid the cable under the carpet...And it sounds GREAT

They don't all have the aux input jack on them. Depends on which model radio you have. Dodge did come out with a kit to add to your radio to hard wire it in, but it is kinda pricey imho. Part number is 82209616ac if your interested and they run right around $175.00. Don't bash me I'm just the messenger.

Thanks, I checked out the link to P. I. E. the interface shown specifically states that it not for use with a radio that has built in navigation. On the trucks that I have seen on the dealers lot that have both the radio with built in navigation and the rear video screen with DVD player seem to have audio video jacks built into the video system in the roof of the cab. There do not deem to be any auxiliary inputs on the front of the radio at all. I guess that I could run wires from the Ipod straight up to the jacks in the ceiling. However I was hoping that somebody would have a better meanis of doing this seeing as a pair of wires hanging in space would not be the most astetically pleasing means of doing this in my opinion. Not to mention the fact that my three year old son would probably love to give them a yank from time to time.

I believe that thi product is in fact what I need. This truck does have both the Satellite Radio option as well as the Video Entertainment System. So how do I easily disable one of them?

Daily iPod user here with MegaCab 06 Rear Video, satellite radio, and NO nav system. That means no Aux jack.

I am going to look into these options and see which one works the best for me and report back.

I'm pretty sure I have the same radio and I have the PIE interface. It works fine. For those with NAV and DVD, I believe PIE makes a switcher box so you can have multiple inputs.
