Interior Work

I had a small spill on the way to work the other morning and now I need to clean the carpet. How do I remove the floor console? I have a G56 equipped truck. If I need to remove the shifter *****, how do I do that? I've tried twisting on them and they won't budge. Thanks for the help.

The shift pattern prys out and you will find a nut. For my '03, the floor console has rubber pads for the coffee cup to sit on, etc, take these out and you will find 4 bolts (I think, 4).
Have fun, back to the morning brew . . .

Do I need to remove the shifter **** to remove the floor console? Also, will the shifter boot just come up the shifter so I can remove the floor console? Thanks for the help.

If I remember correctly, the **** comes off, pull the shifter boot away from the console and lift it off the stick. Pop out the little rubber bottoms and storage cup inserts from the console, find the bolts take them out. Go backwards when done.
Evening beverage time. . .

I just did this when I installed Dynamat Xtreme on the front of the truck. Do you have a bench or captains chairs up front? Send me a pic of your console and I'll see if it is the same as mine and if it is, I will give you instruction on how to do it. I have a G56 just like you and it was not that bad. oslobcebu1@yahoo.com
