Put in A pillar gauges. Use the steering wheel to get in and out.

Just buy the replacement from the dealer, I think mine was under $30. The replacements have a little better design. Beefer around where the bolt hole is. My original broke about three years ago, replacement has been fine since.

Get a new one and put a hose clamp (the metal one that you use a screwdriver to tighten around the plastic housing the bolt goes through. helps it not to split in the future.

I'm on my third one driver and second one passenger. People think there **** monkey bars to get in. Had one guy parking my truck go to jump in and ripped the driver side off. He fell on his butt. Was so funny. They replaced it no questions.

Both of mine are fine I don't know why so many break when I removed the one for my gauges it looks new still. But then again no one drives my truck ever and passengers know how **** I am so breaking my pillar wouldnt be a good idea.

Replaced mine last summer on the driver's side; I put a large washer up against it to help; yes, I use it as a monkey bar

Wink

I`m 6`0" and 210 lbs , and broke mine a couple years ago...I do have step bars , and use the steering wheel to help.

I believe it`s a matter of the plastic having something wrong from the get-go , out of the mold...like a hairline crack , or a brittle batch of plastic used to make it.

The replacement one was fine , but has been replaced with a dual guage one , so now I just use the steering wheel.

I just put a bigger washer on the bolt and put the hose clamp on the old one. Still working a year later.

I bought this repair kit... http://www.imcoproductsinc.com/page/dodgegrabhandle

I plan to keep my truck for several years, and didn't want to keep replacing it. It is VERY expensive, but the pieces are really nicely machined. It comes with pieces for two handles. A buddy of mine and I shared the cost and fixed the driver side only.
I should never break again!
