Ya it's got a turbo, but for the sake of the forum I stripped all the Banks stickers off of it because I wanted people to believe it was a quality product
I actually didn't try the turbo brush since I used a nylon brush to do the shampooing but it looks pretty interesting. Now that I've gotten the machine i'm looking around for anything in the house that's fabric I might need to try it on. No stains in the carpet but I may try cleaning my office deskchair.

Hello,
I had an earlier revision of the Bissell with the hot water and two tanks. That thing cleaned any carpet or rug stain great. Only problem is when I put it away and went to use it again I couldn't get it to work again. Sorry can't remember the details, but I was upset that I didn't get to use it again.
I cleaned it as instructed (I believe), I would suggest using the hell out of one you buy before putting it away for a year.
They do clean carpet very well though.

Barttly, I hope I have better luck than you did. I checked with several members on a detailing forum I belong to that have had their LGPH's for a few years with no issues before I bought the thing..seemed people were very satisfied with the purchase so I went for it. As cheap as the thing is, it paid for itself already considering how much a pro detail shop would have charged to do that much cleaning work to the interior of my truck.. I'll re-check the manual though and see if there are any special instructions for long term storage. As far as I remember from reading it the other day, all it needs is a good rinse..

Lightman,
Thanks for the excellent writeup. I have been lcearing some land and building a house so my carpet has been taking some serious abuse. So have my seats (cloth).
Any good ideas/tips on cleaning them?
TIA!
Carl

Carl - All you need to do is follow the steps I outlined above..be sure to vacuum heavily before you start pretreating or brushing with the solution.

Fozzy, I'd be pretty hesitant to use ether on carpet, I'd be afraid it might alter the color of the carpet..there are several types of carpet spot cleaners, some specifically for petroleum stains, some for pet/organic stains, etc. I'm more of the opinion to use the right tool for the job, but hey what do I know, it might work great.
