Installing factory stereo need help...
#16
The amp should be near the top of the i/p (dash) panel. It is above the HVAC, next to impossible to get to without rolling the i/p. It is installed with 3 screws on a bracket. Amp is silver. Anymore questions, I'll try to help.

My father found me a website that has all the information you need to know as far as the wiring goes. You need a little electrical know how to figure it out. My father has been an electrician for 35 years and it took us a half hour just to figure out what system I have exactly and what wire is what even with color coded wires. This truck is not fun to work with especially with the infinity system. It doesnt help that Im missing the amplifier and all the connectors that used to plug into the amp. I have like 20 bare wires just sitting behind the glove box. I wish there was someone near me that knew this system like the back of thier hand and good tell me exactly what going on.

If someone could provide a picture with the factory amp in its factory position I would be very greatful. I also recently learned that the infinity system is fairly complex in this truck. The amplifier is specifically designed just for this truck and this system set up. It is setup with cross overs so the dash speakers are responsible for high range sound the front doors are basically mid and lows and the rear doors are full range. Yep well back to the original plan of just replacing all factory items I think thats going to be the easiest route.
