Gee, it sounds like the kit is cheaper than replacing just one light!

I just finished installing the fog light kit on my 07.5 truck and the install was easy but when I was done the fog lights did not work. I guess I'll be making a trip to the dealer to get them to do their computer magic to make the lights work. I'll have the high idle enabled as well so it won't be a complete waste of time. I guess they changed something on the newer trucks.

I did my 03 SLT. It might be wired, however I used the new harness that came with the lights.

I was told by PD it's against the law, in Texas, to drive w/out 2 headlamps. Meaning 1 or less is illegal & 3 or more is illegal.

Has anyone got a ticket for too many lights?

In Cali it would just be a fix-it ticket. Most LEOs wouldn't waste their time.

On a side note....My '03 came without the fogs. The low beams were junk and the brights when activated would turn off the low beams, and the overall result was even worse. With the fogs and and a Brite Box, I now have the lighting of a stock BMW.

Well $100 later the fog lights work and the high idle is working as well. I was surprised to find that the fog lights work with the parking lights, low, and high beam. That's just what I wanted but I didn't think it would work that way if the dealer set it up with the StarScan computer.

I want my fog's to work w/out jumping relays & burning something up or paying for the fogzilla type units. Do ya'll think I could go to the dealer, have them uninstall the fog option, then they would work w/the brights?

Add another guy that needs to head to dealer & pay for mechanic to run StarScan tool.
$100 is gonna be painful, since I only paid $125 for the entire kit off a dealer in TX
Looks like the 2007 & higher doesnt come from the factory already enabled in the computer like earlier years

Mike
Got PTO hi-speed idle, and fog lites on my 07 done last Fri.
Credit card is now $108.91 lighter!.
Billing show $57 for lights, and $48 for idle, just in case you only want lights activated
Also added a set of Bully 'line of fire' LEDs under the tailgate this weekend that really look nice. Love the sequential turn signals it has
