Injector Issues - CAN they be resolved??

The smoke is often a sign of a leaking or bad injector. The mechanic told me, too, that he could here the bad injector. Apparantly, it is the classic "clacking" sound we hear in diesels, just much louder. Mine did not idle real smooth either.

Well, I got my truck back from the dealer on SAT afternoon. Runs better than it ever has. I HOPE IT WILL STAY THAT WAY! They replaced ALL 6 injectors, did some kind of a reflash, and enable the 1200rpm idle feture activated by the cruise control. The dealer indicated to me that they have seen a lot of injector problems on 06 but not 05 trucks. At any rate, glad its running better and hope it continues to.
