I'm getting happier with my mileage..
My fuel mileage seems to be gradually getting a little better as I increase in miles. I now have 9,500 miles on the truck. For example, on my last tank, I had all empty highway miles, except I did pulled a cattle trailer about 10 miles- when I filled it up- it came out to 17.87 MPG. Therfore, I'm beginning to feel a little better about it. It still does not get as good MPG as my
"Ole 96 12 valver", but it is getting close! I added a new Amsoil foam air filter around Christmas- this might be helping a little too... Otherwise, it is completly stock.
I don't know about your area, but the price of diesel here has been climbing the last few weeks- currently 1.52/gallon?? I thought the fuel prices would go down after slamming Sadam!!

Mine jumped up alot when I hit 12000 miles. Right now on winter fuel I'm getting 15-16 city and 22hwy if I keep my foot out of it. Mine jumped up a couple of points with the 315s too. I have seen many guys post that their mileage dropped with 315 tires but mine did the opposite.....

I normally get around 12mpg around town, real city driving, lucky to hit 45 every now and then.
Today on a trip home, highway mostly, 23.2 mpg. The best I got when it was new was 21-22mpg. I now have around 21.5kmiles on it.
Oh, yeah it's been AMSOILed thru out

The mileage posts are frequent and I am always amazed by the wide range of differences.
My truck got 16 MPG in town driving, right out of the box and I feel like I have a lead foot. It got about 18.5 on the highway below 75 mph and 16 above 75.
Now with 8K miles I get 17 in town and if I stay at 75 on the highway I get an honest 22. But, If I go up to 76 it plummets to 17. If I run over 80 it drops to 16.
So need less to say, I try and keep it at 75.
