I want a train horn

so at my highschool there is a kid drivin a mid 90's chevy half ton that honks his horn solid whenever he is driving in the parking lot. The same guy that made fun of my truck for being loud, but yet he has attempted to make his gasser loud by drilling a hole in the side of his pipe. Anyways,It gets on everyone's nerves after a while, so i have decided i need to buy a train horn. I dont really want to spend a whole lot on it, but I want it loud....Loud enough that hes gonna have to wash his driver seat when he gets home from school. thanks in advance

Mike

set aside a few hundred dollars for tanks, compressors, wiring, and air lines before you spend it all on a horn.

If it was me I would rake into his engine comp and wire his horn to his windshield fluid pump!! Make everyone in the parking lot way happier!! (I have never done this before )

im guessing it would be cheaper to piece a kit together myself, rather than buy a whole kit from one of the many websites. Hmmm I could even take one of the old air horns off of one of our trucks at the feedlot but its still not as cool as a train horn....

I was working on my Jeep at a friends garage over the course of a few nights a while back. Well I left my Jeep one night to come back and work on it the next day and my friends had a little fun with me. A week later I was driving my Jeep and some idiot cut me off so I layed on the horn and scared the sh*t out of myself. My friends had wired the horn right underneath my dash aimed up at me.

I have a friend that while in collage they wire tapped his brake lights to his horn. Every time he hit the brakes HONK!! Way more annoying than zip ties on the driveshaft.

The horn in the cab had me cracking up. Be careful with those airhorns, can get you a pretty good ticket from law enforcement...

I dont really want a train horn, but something louder than the squeakky thing they put on our trucks would be nice.
Wifes Kia had a louder horn than the truck.

Go to a used parts yard for big trucks, get an air tank(brakes), set of horns, the horn pull lanyard and valve. I mounted my tank on the rail directly under the drivers door. I drilled a hole beside the seat, insalled a filler valve.
If you don't go crazy blowing it, my air will last for several days. No air compressor, all used parts. Valk

JC Whitney has a set for under a $100. Here is the link. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...roup?Ntt=horns
I installed these on my truck. You will be heard.
