I have 60,00 miles. Its been doing it since about 30,000 and to the dealer three times to check. They said that the front end is fine and everything is within factory tolerences....... I am sick of this front end.

Make sure the bolt at the trac bar/frame is super tight.

mine has been doing it and i've been tightening everything, and reading for months for the fix it trick. other than spending thousands like alot of guys do or have laying around on here!!!

the Fix is to torch all the DODGE off it and replace with anything else hell a escort front end would be better than anything then the factory put on

I like the diesel and the size of the cab but thats about it.
what really ticks me off is i've had this truck since 2,800 miles and have replaced more parts(broken or to make better) than any other vehicle i've ever had and yes this has the fewest miles on it when probs started.

As i say, i bought a cummins the rest was free

If you feel it in the steering wheel over small imperfections, you will more than likely find it in the intermediate shaft. If it is bad enough you can grab it and give a good yank and you will be able to reproduce the noise you heard/felt

Skindaddy, I agree with you 100%. I love the engine, the megacab room and the look of the truck. I had a 03' quad long bed and that truck gave me no problems. This truck is loaded with every option i could get, but it has been nothing but trouble. Windows rattle, hood bounces in the front at high speed, tins don't line up, recalls, emission cleaning, check engine light comes on every 15,000 miles, and this front end is ridiculous.. My only problem is, What do the ford and Chevy guys complain about. Maybe my issues are nothing compared to theirs. But maybe not. BOB4X4- If i steer to the right real lightly and jerk the wheel left , I can feel it. Or the other way....

Been very happy with my 04 after six years and 95,000 miles. I did put lots of aftermarket on the front end mostly to eliminate the death wobble... which I did eliminate entirely!

Never had a no start except once due to an aftermarket product failure.

I like this truck better than any vehicle I've ever owned since new. Mostly because it's so versatile. It 's my sports car, drag racer, pickup truck, family hauler and daily driver all in one. I do get a check engine light every so often that always goes away. It's due to the mods. I don't pay any attention to it. NO EMISSIONS on my truck. Not sure what you are talking about Chopper Rob.

Hoot, I loved my 03, I had 138,000 miles on it when i got rid of it for my new one, never gave me any problems. I do like the new one also, just sick of all the issues. You dont have any emission items on your like the 6.7 so you wouldn't understand. I love the power, love the six speed tranny, the exhaust brake is awesome, but the truck itself is not built anything like the engine in it. How you explaine your truck as being so versatile, anyone can use that saying, weather it be a dodge, ford, or chevy. I have no mods(engine), and by not doing mods, i thought I wouldn't have any issues, but I do. Read all the post on this site about front end problems, they are junk.

Sorry just venting...But you said you changed out alot of your frony end to eliminate death wobble. I can't see spending 50,000 for a new truck and spending more to make it safer and ride better.

I mistakingly thought you were talking about your 03. I agree with you the front ends need some design changes that actually make a difference. Just remember there are lots of people out ther that have none of the problems.

I really hope it handles flawlessly by then but most likely it won't handle as good as the amount of $$ you put into these crappy front ends.
Im in the same spot as you! The only thing left to replace in my front end is steering box and control arms.
