I need a measurement
Would someone with a 2004 2500 4x4 QC shortbed mind measuring the distance from the ground to the top of the inside of receiver hitch?
I have a Hensley Arrow hitch on our camper. We currently pull it with our Durango. Right now, I have a 2-inch drop bar for the Hensley, but I'll need to trade it in for a longer drop when we get our new truck (in about 2 weeks!!). Hensley needs the measurement to determine what bar to send me. I'm guessing I'll need the 6-inch drop but I want to be sure.
Thanks!
David

I have a 2004 2500 4x4 Quad Cab, short bed and run a 8" drop receiver (the part that goes into the hitch assembly) for my pop-up camper. I used the same piece on my 2001 Ford 150 Supercrew 4x4. It keeps front of trailer hitch almost level...
With the 31570r17's installed on stock rims...measurement to center of the hitch is about 2ft off the ground...

Hensley Mfg uses this measurement along with the measurement from the ground to the top of the trailer tongue in a basic formula to determine the correct drop bar.
Thanks,

I'm not sure if this link has been posted here before, but here it is. It might have what you're looking for....it has just about any measurement you may want or need.
