Talking Howdy!!

Well, let my jump in and join the other newbies here. I picked up my new 2500 SLT 4X4 almost a week ago and am lovin it! This is my first diesel and I looked at all three at great length before picking the Dodge.

I have to say I'm very impressed with the Ram, fit and finish are excellent, the truck handles far better than Ford or Chevy, and the Cummins

The local dealer found the truck equipped pretty much the way I wanted, turned out to be a 555 which is fine by me, no "enhanced" emissions control and from driving both engines, I don't think you can tell much of a difference.

So far, no drone, no vibration, no wind noise, no exhaust smell in cab, nothing but smiles.

Thanks for all the information posted here, its great to read about people who are in general, very happy with their trucks. This isn't the case on some other brands forums!

bigred,
Welcome to the party. It will only get better as it gets broken in.

Bigred, Welcome.
You will find that most post on these forums are people with problems looking for answers and if you do need help it is one of the best places to be. I seem to be one of the lucky ones that don't have any and is (so far) completely happy with my 600. Enjoy your new truck.

Hey Boss Hog, how do you like those Westin side bars? The wife says I need to get some side steps, they look pretty good

Bigredmachine,

congrats on the new truck.

just wanted to let you know that Luverne nerf bars are polished stainless steel and look exactly like crome. I paid $272 for the set delivered UPS.

thought that might help
