I've put my harley in the bed of my truck and hauled it to rockford,IL and back to Ohio several times. I've strapped it down so tight that I bent my toolbox. I'm sure someplace dodge has the load limit for the tie downs.

I run a sled deck in the winter months and usually just use turnbuckles down to the tie downs. My buddy did the same and broke 3 out of 4 last winter. I found a complete set of Billet custom made replacements off ebay and swapped mine out. I paid under $100 for them, they look pretty good and include a billet backing plate so your hooks don't scratch the paint. I can get a pic of them but I can't find the guy who's selling them on ebay anymore.

My deck with two skis only weighs about 1600lbs. But get that out on a winter road with some frost heaves and you'll find out real quick how good your tie downs are. I've got one full season on my billet ones with no problems.
