7500 to 10000 go by manual not dealer, dealer makes money off your oil change.

Amen to that! When listening to advice about things like oil changes, see what "vested interest" the offerer of the advice has. Those in the business of selling oil changes are NOT, IMO, impartial. OTOH, the vehicle manufacturer is who provides your warranty, designed and built the vehicle and SHOULD know what it needs. That's why it's listed in your owner's manual. I read the manual and go by it's recomendation.

I am at 12k and awaiting the results of my OA.
I run the Oilguard bypass with the fleetguard Strat. I change out just the fleetguard strat every 10k and add enough oil to prime the filter before it goes back on.

Thats what Cummins says they engineer and test them hundreds of thousands of miles under real work conditions they should know. If I had a fleet of these trucks that's what I'd do but not with my personal toy Their info needs updating on fuel filters though that interval recommendation was changed to every 10,000 and upgrading to a 7 micron or better.

This is incorrect. The 06 manual says 7500 if you tow or drive a lot of city and 15,000 if not. There is no mention of 3750. That is from the older 98-02 manuals.

Black Stone labs charges 28 bucks for a (IMO) pretty in depth OA. You can get it done cheaper else where.

I am another one that changes the oil every 5K like clockwork. I just like a good round number like that and I (personally) think 10k is to long. 5K doesn't burden me with time or expense. I enjoy doing it then and it gives me a good excuse to crawl around under the truck and look around at other things...tire wear, etc.

I just use Shell Rotella T 15w40 dino oil and Fleetguard Stratapore filters every 5k.

Also, I change my fuel filter (now (Plural) filters after adding GDP 2micron) every 10k.

And it may be overkill.....but every 20k I change my front and rear differential fluids (Mobil 1 75w90), transmission fluid/filter and transfer case with ATF +4, and I also have started draining and refilling the radiator with fresh Zerex G-05.

I buy the 3 pack OA kit from OILguard and it costs $14.00 per sample pack.

Not quite as indepth as the blackstone but it still has all the info I need.
