how much tread left when you replaced you toyo MT's?
Just rolled 25k on my 285/75 toyo Mt's and they are down to 1/4˝ tread depth. Toyo specs the tread depth at 19/32˝ new so i have ~42% tread left. I think the rubber feels harder and they have gotten louder, plus there are some small cracks where the lugs attach. Wear is generally even (rotated every 5-7k) with slightly more wear in the center then outside shoulders (i aired them down slightly for the last 7k miles after a chalk test and that helped). these tires cost too much $$ to change out before they are dead but i wish they had a little more tread left going into winter sleddin = deep snow and mud season. so how much tread was left when you replaced yours and when does off road performance really start to drop off? and *** with the prices on these seem to have gone way up over the past year...

I was in the same situation last fall with the OEM tires at 35k...not enough tread to feel safe on the snow, but too much tread to just discard. I bought new tires, and saved the old ones. When the snow left this spring I had the originals put back back on...cost $28...and have been running them all summer. They might just have enough tread left to do the same thing next summer.
