How do I replace driver side mirror

Backing out this morning, I hit the driver's side mirror on a pole and, instead of just bending back like it has it the past, the plastic housing shattered.

I'm guessing this is because of the cold outside temp (10 DegF).

I see on eBay that I can buy a mirror and housing for $100-150.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace? Anyone have instructions? I'm assuming that I'll have to pull the interior door panel off, but I haven't even looked to see how that is done.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Seth

Take out the screws in the door. Then lift up on panel. It doesnt have to come all the way off. If I remember correctly three 10mm nuts hold the mirror to the door. Loosen the bolts, unhook the wires, then put the new one on. Takes 15 to 20 minutes if you work slow.
