How accurate are the ship dates?

Called D/C again today - they actually gave me a schedualed ship date of 3/6. Maybe there is still some hope...

Many people have said the computers are behind actual reality - but how accurate has the 'ship date' been ?

Re:How accurate are the ship dates?

My ship date was 2/18/03 and it shipped on schedule. It took from that date to 2/27/03 to arrive at the place where it is taken off the rail car in the Detroit area. (built in Mexico) My dealer says it will take four to five days now to get it from that point to the lot which is less than an hours drive. I think I'm about two weeks from actually taking delivery after dealer installed options but it's getting close now.

Re:How accurate are the ship dates?

Thanks for the replies - sounds like the ship date is more accurate than the general status of the computer. Maybe it will actually ship on or before the 6th then
