Hood Scoop
I have a small problem. My truck was moved by a van line when my wife and I moved from Alabama to Virgina. One of the idiots that moved my truck drove it into the trailer and then climbed out. When the idiot climbed out he stepped on the hood denting it. The dent is right in one of those creases in the hood. I really like the hood scoop that is available from Dodge but it isn't wide enought to cover the damage that the idiot caused. What I was wondering is if any one here new of a wider hood scoop that is simular to the one that Dodge sells.I have looked on line, but I haven't found a wide enough scoop that is similar. It would have to be about 32 inches wide most aren't that wide. So any one know of any sites where I can find a simular scoop that is wider that the one dodge sells?

And you dont think this idiot should be responsible for your hood? You can get a srt hood for just under $600,and thats what my idiot would be paying for plus paint.Either with cash or dents in his rear end.Worst case your insurance should pick up the tab,and there shouldnt be a deductable or premium increase because its not a collision. You should get enough $$$ that you dont have to go halfa$$ with a hood scoop. sorry to hear your leaving Bama...........Rooster

The company did pay. They sent me a check. What I'm tring to do is get a scoop on the hood instead of just fixing the hood back to stock. ROOSTER where can I get a SRT-10 hood for $600. ? I have only seen them for 1000.

Im sorry but I wouldnt put a scoop on there. I think 3rd Gens look deplorable with scoops. Now maybe a 2nd Gen w/ ram air would look sick but I would pocket the kash and rock the oem hood. Or fix existing hood and sport the front end out and floss a SRT 10 lip. Sorry to hear you unexpected encounter with somebody's ignorance. Late.

Most dealers will sell you the SRT-10 hood for a tad under $600, but by the time it's painted it could approach a grand. I got my labor at a discount since I was also buying the truck.

bamataco1,
If you want a stock replacement hood, I have my '06 Patriot Blue hood available. Removed when new and stored in my basement in Fairfax, VA. I'll even help you install it, swap the grill over and get it aligned. It's listed in the classified section, right here: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ct=8729&cat=11
If you want an SRT-10 hood, my dealer sold me mine for $595 and I had it painted for $300 at a great local bodyshop.
