Has anybody put HID lights on there truck. I am looking for a set of good HID lights and wanted to know what brands to stay away from .

the only good, legal way is to install bi-projector lens from a wrecked car. i used honda accords on two of my 06's. you need a good shop and mechanical skills to do the work. i installed mine in 07 you might go to hidplanet.com to see if kits are now available. i changed the rest of the bulbs to L.E.D.'s i have extensive knowledge about the electrical conversion on the 06 so if you do convert pm me with your email and i will give you some help and pix

Check out DDM's web site. I don't have any, but I'm gettin ready to put some on. I believe the '06 will use the H13 bulb, correct me if I'm wrong guys. Good luck.

the 06 uses the H13. the stock hid does not have a defined point of light. therefore no dual beam and you will blind the other drivers. the special dual beam german hid kits are a lot better but not able to meet d.o.t. and still blinds the other driver. some states are starting to ticket for it. also the 06 derives its power from the tipm and you will have all kinds of problems with flicker and other electrical.
