Unless it's changed recently, CA allows used Federal EPA cert cars & trucks with more than 7500 miles. There is also no annual smog check for diesels....new or old.

When I checked with Dave Smith in ID, they said they order all their trucks with CA emission certs (exact same engine, different decal)

Anyone have a good contact at Dave Smith, or should I just call their toll free number and work with whoever I get?

I'd do it for $23,500

I paid $29,000 for mine (in sig.) brand new three years ago.

Yes the price is high, but sure looks and sounds like a great truck. Best year too!

Seems high priced to me. You can get a new truck for $30k..
