Help, first time pulling with a 6 speed!

hi guys!

I'm pulling my 06 megacab 6 speed for the first time tomorrrow and was wondering what gear to go in?

Ive got a smartyPOD(prolly be on level 6 at 130 hp) quadzilla boost fooler, muffler deleted and fins out of the stock air intake other then that its all stock

Its running 4:10 gears with 33' procomp XAT's

i was thinking 4 low 4th gear but dont want to kill it on the line.

Thanks
mark

I'd stick with 4 hi and ease into the weight in 2nd gear like you would hauling anything else. I would think that you would hit your top RPM too fast in 4 low. Anyone else?

many more experts here than I am. I did my first few times. Could that be why I burnt my clutch?...

I've never pulled in 4wheel at all unless pulling my 8k lb boat out of a slippery steep ramp

No you don't tow in 4hi or 4low on dry roads. If it's any decent weight like 6k+, start out in 1st, and pull any grades in 5th not 6th.

Don't expect your stock clutch to hold 130hp tune under load. I know mine won't.
