OK, I just traded my '06 DRW QC SLT for a '07 2500 QC Laramie with the 5.9 and auto.

When I first bought the '06, I had a heck of a time getting the service department to take their "Star Scan" tool and enable alot of the trucks features, mainly because they were too ignorant to listen and they never heard of such things such as the high idle enable, fog lamps staying on with the highbeams, and the headlight coming on when you press the key fob etc. I had to finally walk in there with a list, thanks to DTR, with TSB's etc and be kinda demanding to get them to even try it.

So, with this second truck, I talked the salesman into scheduling me a free hour with one of their techs, and I get to physically go through the options menu with them on this Star Scan tool. My question is, does anybody have a printout, link or menu directions so I can have pre-planned what features I want to enable on this new truck?

Also, is there anything at all to be aware of with the 5.9 '07 trucks?
Any TSB's that I can check on? Any other little tips & tricks to ask them to perform?

P.S. I also negotiated all my goodies from my DRW I had on there to take with me to put on my new truck. I also drove a 6.7 with auto, but it was almost $6000 more!! So I opted for their last loaded 5.9.

 

Oh yea I forgot to ask, should I remove my relay/fuse box that I had to supplement the trailer wiring on my '06 & put it on my '07? Or did Dodge fix this problem?

Supposedly they have that fixed, but...... you know how that goes!As for a list of programmable feature, I have yet to find one , and even the owner's manual puts them all in their little respective places. I would ask to spend a week reading the OM and then get your appt. with the tech. I know there is the high idle feature, daytime running lights, the usuall stuff, but as for anything else, just read uop on it!
