Heater with mood swings

Has anybody else had the problem of the heater blowing properly then slowing down? At the same time that the heater does this, the headlights dim as if they are losing voltage. They don't dim completely dark but enough for me notice.

how cold out is it by you

/ It could be your grid heaters coming on and off. My 03 does the same when its under 35 out.

I wouldn't say that it is less than 40 degrees here. I just can't figure it out.

It's most definately the heater grid coming on and off, I have the same symptom and it drove me nuts when it started, turns out it's just the current draw of the heater heating the intake air, mine came on occasionally when it was well above 40 to my surprise.
