Headlight adjustment

I need to adjust the verticle on my headlights for pulling a 5th wheel. I have read the posts on the subject, but one question remains. Which direction do you turn the adjustment screw to lower the lights? Instinct tells me clockwise, but clockwise seems to raise the lights! Can someone set me straight? Thanks,

Mike

Good luck finding a Vertical adjustment screw. There's none on the 04's only side-to-side.

I had to take out the headlight assemblies and superglue washers to the bottom of the assemblies to help bring up the headlights a little bit...

That may explain it! It looked like the headlights were moving side to side during the adjustment. I thought there were two screws! The problem I have is when I tow my 5th wheel, the lights are too high. I need to bring them down a bit.

I would stiffen the rear so it does not sag so much!

The rear is plently stiff already. It only sags about 2" when 2,100 lbs is added. That 2" sag drives the headlight beams up just enough that oncoming drivers as constantly flashing me. I would just like to be able to move the beam down just a little!

I checked the number of adjustments screws tonight. It has two. One on the bottom, and one on the side. I adjusted the one on the bottom. Counter clockwise seems to turn the beam down. Sure seems backwards to me!

Add a set of Fierstone Ride Rite Air Bags and then adjust the level the way I do

I completed the adjustments this morning. The side adjuster is used for verticle adjustment, and the bottom adjuster for horizontal. To get to the side adjuster, the hood should be open.
