I just read a couple of weeks ago on my stock forum that Michelin was going to sell their 10% ownership of Hankook, didn't verify it tho and I am going to put Hankook on my truck in the next week or so.

Yes but it doesn't seem to be because they lost faith in the brand. It's because they couldn't justify the cost of ownership it seems. One way relationship maybe? Even still, Hankook has been a decent tire for me on Crazy Larry. LoL

I liked them so much on my '03 that Les Scwab it putting new ones on my 2011 as I type this ($1119 OTD by the way- the price has gone way up since they were introduced). Great wear and excellent traction, fairly quiet too. Only negative I've heard is that sometimes they are hard to balance out.

I bought these in 285's a year ago. Love them so far. Best all around tire I've ran yet IMO.

Discount Tire quoted me $779 out the door mounted/balanced for Hankook and today Tire Works quoted me $748.13 out the door mounted/balanced for Toyo Open Country AT all in 265/70R17.

Just put 6 - 285's on my dually. Look sweet and ride sweet so far... The real test will be how they handle on the northern ice roads, and during break up.
