A happy fuel mileage topic...
Thanks to the DTT converter and just plain breaking the truck in, my mileage just keeps going up. I was as low as 14.5 this past spring. It jumped up to 16 with the TC and I just filled up today and got 16.89 mpg with no highway miles. Heck, I even rounded the gallons up about 1/4 gallon.
Before anybody chimes in here let me say that when I am checking my mileage I stand there for 15 minutes pumping really slow until the fuel is all the way to the top. My overhead said 20.5. I wish it was that good!
I'm thinking about pulling the EZ off just to see what the mileage gets up to. I think I am about 2 mpg lower with it on....hmmmm..

My last tank was 100% highway miles. Most of the time I was around 62-64mph. I ran a 323 mile round trip and it took around 15.5 gallons. Came out to 20.7 mpg. and before you jump me abought filling to the neck no I dident im not near that patient. I just used the same pump and filled to the click and rounded it up to the next dollar. I know its not real acurate but close enough for me.

It does take a lot of patience to stand there that long but it's the only way to know the exact mileage. Once the pump clicks, I usually get another 3 or 4 gallons depending on the pump. That's 50-60 more miles before I have to fill up again. That's really why I do it..

I got 21.01 mpg on my last tank. It was a about 300 miles of rural 2 lanes and 250 of freeway from Columbus to Cleveland and back. I usually average about 19.5-20.5 mpg. It amazes me how this heavy truck with all its power can get such good mileage, and my 97 Tacoma 4x4 with the 2.7 4 cylinder and 5 speed average about 23-23mpg.

My driving is predominately stop and go here in the DC area. I think almost 17mpg is great! I'm sure that if I was in some rural spot (and I wish I was) my mileage would be way up there too.. One day soon....................

It don't matter how you fill it up. Just as long as you do it the same everytime. My 04 gets 18.5 pretty consistently and I have the need for speed. We have lots of hills out here and I like flying by fords. When I try for good mileage I can easily break 20.

I've doubled the HP and nearly tripled the torque on mine and the mileage actually went up.
Well, as long as I'm driving reasonably and not doing this all the time:
