Guess I'm in the Club now...
Well, decided this week to retire my '01 Ram 3500 Diesel (only 76K on it..)and move on up to the new '07 Laramie with the 6.7 Cummin's and 68re tranny. So far I love it! It is just about ready to turn over 500 miles...whew!
I have it scheduled for 5th wheel and truck camper hitch systems install on the 30th and I'll be towiing my 12000+ lb camper to the coast 2 days later for a test drive. I've got a feeling it's going to be great.
So far this 68RE seems to be awesome and I can't wait to try the exhaust brake with the camper behind.
One thing I do miss already from my '01 is my Pioneer DVD/GPS Nav unit. It walks all over the factroy unit in this one....but I 'do like' that UConnect!
See ya later and I've attached a pic of my truck. Btw, that stupid dealer tag on the front is already in the trash can...

real nice truck, sure to come are many smile miles, as for the factory head unit? don't think a single one made it more than a thousand miles in any car / truck / jeep I have ever had.

Congratulations on the new truck. I really like the factory NAV/CD/RADIO/SAT unit. It has a great sound. One thing I do not like is the fake plastic wood...I think they call it Food...Like wood but with an " F ". That stuff is so cheezy, who are they trying to fool.

I was looking at an 07 from out of state in the Safeway parking lot in Kenai. I was having a good conversation with the owner until he repeatedly referred to my truck as “one of them older trucks”.
As I was good naturedly calling him a new truck snob a seagull pooped on his hood missing my truck by a couple of feet (this time of the year they really can drop a bomb). My wife and I laughed so hard I think we hurt his feelings.
I tried to convince him that the birds up here only aim at the newer trucks so he needed to get used to it. I know he didn’t believe me but it sure seems that way sometimes.
You have a nice looking rig. I’m jealous but hope a flock of Cardinals dont start following you around
