grid heaters
My buddy just bought an 06 and his WTS light wasn't coming on. He checked to make sure they were hooked up and they are, but he is not getting any power. We thought maybe it would be a fuse, but can't seem to find one. Any ideas?

I have an 06 and the WTS will not come on till temperatures are below 50*F. With the truck in the garage the WTS will usually light when outside temps are below freezing.

Yes, the '06 has a WTS light. Above ~50F it should only flash, as the gauge and other dash light go through a normal test. Below ~50F, it will stay on, until the grid heater is up to temp.

as stated above 50* the wait to start does not cycle. the grid heaters is actually for emission reasons rather than a starting aid. most use grid heater delete blocks to remove the restriction cummins has the best price for the block. winspeed, glacer, farm boys diesel and others also make them. if you have a mill or about an hour with a die grinder you can also modify the stock one
