This spring I had Michelin 265/70 17 tires that had 9/32 of tread remaining and major cracks on the inside only. Rust was showing on the tread also. These tires only had 50k on them. I brought them to a reputable Michelin dealer and they pro rated them (cost me 100 bucks per tire) and even gave me a new spare because of the 02 date code. They had no problem at all replacing the tires for me. We will see how these new ones wear. I also am trying nitrogen in the tires this time to see if it improves fuel mileage and tire life.

Here's what you have to look forward too. Goodyear is well aware of the problem, as is all the local tire dealer's I've talked to. I had all 7 tire's on my truck do this. I'm glad I got rid of the last 2 today.
