Does anything last on a Ford? My mom has a '97 F350 and that thing eats front tires like candy.

You're right about the M55s being expensive though,I forgot about him looking for cheap tires.

I'd start looking on Craigslist. I know he says the Michelins didn't last, but a set of Michelin take-offs from a new truck will be the cheapest way for tires.

I see BRAND NEW sets of Michelins off of Dodge 2500/3500s all the time on Craigslist. They usually range from $250-400 a set,and most of the time come with the rims also.

He could buy the tires/rims and then sell the rims and re-coup some of the cost of the tires.

Yes tires last on a Ford. I've had fairly good luck with the Cooper STTs on my Ford, let's not start a truck war over tires.

Again, looking for Stock tires I would say you can find them out there on. If you were closer I'd sell you mine...

My old F250 had that dual I beam thing, it ate tires alright, my Toyo's didn't last as long st the cheapo "Traction Kings" I used to buy for it.

You wanna put some work into it... Then find take offs and sell the rims if you get them.

Don't know much about stock sized tires but what the factory offers is top of the line.

I'm very happy with the stock BFG's that came on my truck.

at 52,000 miles I think I have a good 10K left, maybe more if I run them until they are bald. I'd have to say they have stood up beter than anything I've had on my trucks before. I also run A LOT of gravel and tow 25% of the time, generally up to 20,000# GCW.

I'd buy another set of these or look for takeoffs when it's time.
