vinegar is great for all kinds of stuff. For the hard mineral deposits on your windows, I use a duragolss product and it works great too. Once you get them clean, as someone said and you probably know, dry that crappy hard mineral rich water off with a good towel.

There was a thread awhile back, and it said the Rain-X company recomended Bon Ami. Bar Keeper's Friend is the same thing.

Try doing a search. You will find all kind's of stuff.

never use windex it has alot of ammonia in it, which contains= alot of SAND ask any glass shop i bet very few use it either.

Iv had good luck using Stoners in the spray bottle.
I also use a mesh covered sponge on the front window to get all the junk off the window after it rains

Windex now has an Ammonia free product... They use Vinegar instead!!! Still pretty good...

The reason the News paper works well is because it is lent-free... Regular paper towels leave lent all over... Those huge rolls of paper towels in most public bathrooms works well too... You know the stuff that is usually brown and looks like a roll of newspaper with no writing on it...

But, for getting deep built up grime off your windshield... BAR KEEPERS FRIEND!!! That is the best way to go... but be prepared to take your time...

Yeah newspaper is good for wiping dry even before tinting it leaves no lint or residue.

I would not use acetone, it will eat your paint.
