Getting high idle on Monday...manual tranny quetions
I've got an appointment to have the high idle enabled on Monday, and I was wondering if any of ya'll with the standard trannies had trouble at the dealer.
I mean did they give you any crap about not having the clutch switch and having the 22 pin grounded instead, or did they even bother to look?
The dealership I'm going to don't work on a great deal of diesels so I'm hoping they won't know the difference. This is the same dealer that told me a muffler delete would cause my truck to run poorly.
I've also read somewhere that when they hook up the starscan and find the idle feature that when it shows "disable" on their screen it actually turns it on. Does anyone know if this is true, seems backward to me?

The dlr I took it to didn't have any issue with enabling it (then I found out I could've saved the trip and enabled it with my Bullydog ).
Assuming you have a 5.9L correct?
If it's a 6.7, there's a green wire under the dash to ground out instead of the #22 pin on the C2 ECM plug.
