Since you have a choice, go with the 12' for extra room. I have to fold both of mine everytime I park in the garage and it still only clears by a few inches on either side.

Yes 12' would make it much easier. 9' wide bank drive thru are a PITA. OH!, and make it high enough. Mine sits at about 7' top of roof, another 16" center load antenna. It has never seen the inside of a garage .

The bigger the better! You never have to much room in your garage.

Why would you only want a one truck garage?

make it as big as you can possibly make it. a 30' garage will still be too small!!!

Congrats on the new place, Slice! I'm drawing up plans for my garage now... I've been living with a carport and doing vehicle work on a gravel driveway for 5+ years now! When it's done I'll have a 37x67 garage... 2 8'x18' double car doors and a RV bay with 14'h x 12'w doors on both ends for pull through, so I never have to back up my boat trailer again. Also gotta get a 10K hydrolic lift so no more crawling under vehicles! Of course right now it's the problem of getting the county to give me a permit! It'll probably be the end of the year until I have a warm dry place for the toys, but at least the ball is rolling! That's the only thing good about the crazy house prices in CA... equity, baby!

Thejeepdude that sounds like a dream garage. My last house had a 3.5 car garage, with the third '1.5' car garage being 12 feet wide, tall enough for my truck WITH an ATV in the bed, and deep enough to fit everything in and have the jetski trailer in front of the truck... Sealed garage floor, custom cabinetry along the whole wall with corian countertops...you name it. Ahh the good ol days. Now I'm in a different state and park outside Stinks with a black truck!

Slice, as our forum buddy Greg Boardman says - go big or go home!! In your case, go big AT home

Thanks for all the support guys, I too have never had the CTD in a garage and am looking forward to having a place to put it and the place to do stuff with it. This garage also has a porte cochere in front of it 18 ft long so the CTD will fit, If i dont want to pull in the garage at night it still is under cover, and in the Summer time in texas a shady parking spot is nice to have..

My parent's built a 30x38', three car garage with two 7'x7' doors with a 10'x10' door in the center, and another 7'x7' door in the back. I haven't pulled my truck into it yet but their 98 F150 makes the garage look small inside (it is two story too!)

I'd recommend the 12' door as well, but the 10x10' is OK as well.
