I thought it might be useful to this forum to post hand calculated fuel economy numbers for a 2600 mile round trip Gillette, Wyoming to Yuma, AZ, and return home to Lander, Wy.

Gillette to Evanston, Wy: winter conditions, wind, some 4wd 19.3
Evanston to St. George, UT 21.3
St. George to Yuma, AZ 20.3
Yuma to Kingman, AZ 20.1
Kingman to Nephi, UT 19.4
Nephi to Lander, WY 22.1

The trip included 60% interstate highway with cruise set at 69 interstate and 65 on two lane. I spent approximately one hour in three separate Las Vegas traffic jams and had winter conditions for the Wyoming portions of the travel. The overhead console reported 19.9 for the trip average which compares with an overall hand calculated average of 20.4.
Needless to say, I am pleased with the performance of my Dodge Cummins, which has continued to improve as I drive it--Now approaching 20k on my odometer. I also use Stanadyne for an additive.

 

A lot of folks will be envious

That's about the mileage that my wife was getting with her 05 untill we put a Ramifier box on her truck. Now she has 100 extra hp and gets around 20 in town and about 24 -25 on the highway. No kidding!
