Does anyone use this product called Marvel mystery oil?? My brother told me about it and he's using with his CTD. I drove his on the weekend, and it is so smooth it's incredible. I want to try it, but does anyone know anything about it??

I use a combination mix of Power Service Kleen and Marvel Mystery Oil( 3 parts PS to 1 part MMO) in every tank. I have become a believer in this mix. After over 4000 miles using this mix the truck is running smoother, quieter than ever before. With the added lubrication, injector cleaning alone it seems like a good thing to do. Wally-World carries both cheap.
Some have posted that they use only MMO and nothing else. I think most have posted that they use a combination of additive and MMO.

My brother said he had a friend back in high school that used it in a GM 6.2. Those trucks had a lot of problems- pumps going, etc... His friend sold it at 230000km with no problems. Ramswheel- how many ounces of that do you put in at a fill?

I use the above 3 to 1 mix and use 16oz of mix in every fillup, around 26-30 gallons. The cost of 16oz mix is around $2.20 per fillup. At that cost and potential benefit I will always do it. I was very skeptical about additives, but I am now a believer.

I alternate between PS/MMO and PS/ND30w. Found running the PS/MMO mixture the engine is much smoother and quieter. Mixing 16oz of PS with 8oz of MMO. With the non detergent 30w it's 1:1 mixture, 16oz/16oz.

I tried both ways- mmo /psk 3to1 and mmo straight and While I notice the truck definately running smoother, there is only .2mpg difference between the two. This is over the same terrain and traffic cond. Either way my mpg went up 1 full mpg so I'm sold!

I usually let my tank go down to 1/4, then when I fill up I put in 12 oz Power Service and 4 oz MMO. Sure seems to run quieter and I think it even helps with the mileage. Of course I also think my truck runs better after it is washed.

JMac, I do the measuring at home with a measuring cup after filling the truck usually. When on a trip I carry the additives and the cup in a small cooler in the bed of the truck secured with a net. Although I admit to 'guesstimating' when the cup was not handy.

I have a couple of 32oz PS bottles that I saved, they are marked every 8oz. I pre-mix at home in these bottles and carry them under the rear seat in heavy duty zip lock bags

I have been using Howes, and it hasn't hurt any, but I haven't really noticed it making any difference in the way the engine sounds, runs, etc. I keep it in a strong plastic bottle marked off with a felt pen. I keep it in my tool box in the back of the truck. (I wear gloves when I handle that stuff.) I'm going to try the MML. I have no where to buy Power Service.

I buy Power service (Wally world) and Lucas by the gallon. I use their small containers to measure. I do a 50/50 ps & Lucas. 1-2 mpg better and runs smoother.
