Front End Replacement Bumpers

I have been drooling around looking at Ranch hand and Ranch Hand style front end replacement bumpers. Tax man should be sending me some money soon.

Does anybody have any suggestions on which kind of bumper to get? I know I want the most "bang for my buck" and the most "massive" one I can get for it. I don't want the bull nose kind of bumper. I want the full deal with the Grill Guard included as part of the bumper and possibly a winch and 2" receiver.

I think I saw a "WARN" brand that looked nice, but I can't part with 2 grand or more. I think the "BuckStop" is kinda pricey too. I guess they all are to get what I really want. I would like to stay in the 800 to 1000 range if I can and im not stuck on the "name" on the bumper.

Does anybody get some kind of money in return for their stock front end? I don't want it sitting around taking up space.....Id like to get something ($) for it to apply it toward the new bumper.

Does anybody know a good dealer to deal with on these Front end replacements in the North Texas area?

Thanks for any and all suggestions or ideas!

Go to www.bosshawgmetals.com and look at their bumpers. I think they are well built, look good and very reasonably priced.

just a note the weight of a full replacement will affect the life of your front suspension. we have a frontier and they are supposed to be lighter, they are pretty sharp as well.

If I was looking for a new front bumper, I would only buy from these guys. These are the best looking bumpers I've seen.

Raw,

I agree they are awesome looking bumpers......but they are VERY expensive. I just don't think I can part with that much money.

Onesourceoil,

I did look at the BossHawg bumpers....and they look nice too. I haven't called them yet to get a price......but I am definately going to consider them.

thanks for the input......please keep em coming if anybody has some other ideas.

I have been stopping at a shop down the street and drooling at the Ranch Hands sitting all over the place.

Last week I saw a 2005 3500 Dually they just finished with the Ranch Hand Legend on front and what I think is called the Dually on the rear. Man, that was a nice setup.

From the pricing I have seen the Ranch Hand seems to be the most for the dollar.

I have a Denver Off Road bumper. It is awesome. All aluminum 1/2 and 3/8 inch weighs in at 130lbs without a winch. Below is a thread from another site with some pictures of Laynes work. I really cant speak highly enough of the quality of his product. Unfortunately he does not have a website. It is just he and his cousin who crank these things out. So you have to call 970-958-4010

When I purchased my bumper I put my stock one in the classifieds and sold it within two weeks for 250 + shipping

I also have a Denver offroad and agree with everything said in the above post.

I was putting the airdam off the original onto my DOR when a guy drove by,
slammed on the brakes,
backed up and offered me $350 for my original bumper.

Apparantly his wife kissed a pole with his.

Needless to say I made $350 bucks that day.

If you decide to go with a Grill Guard only check into Diamond B they are in Winters, Texas and they are very sharp it is square tubing turned a 1/4 turn so it looks like a diamond something different than the rest of the pack. diamondbaccessories.com

What was the price on the Diamond B grill guard? Was it a bolt on or did you have to drill holes? How many mpg did you lose?

the diamond b is a bolt on or at least it was when some friends of mine started it off. mestdagh i don't have the link but will check on it . here's one that is funny also my solar yellow started out as a sport edition ,extra 8oo,but my son decides that is way too much yellow and he went to his buddy at the wrecking and got lucky and got the front and rear replacement by swapping my new painted bumpers and 50 bucks. now i have the deer buster and extra back up lights.
