Freedom...
Finally put the truck to good use today.
It's a 2004 QC short bed.
Last weekend I filled 75 45 gallon lawn bags with yard refuse and used the truck today to haul them all to the dump.
I got a price from a dumper to haul them from my back yard and he quoted me $550.00.
I then called the DPW and was able to get a three month dumping permit for just $10.00.
Took me five trips in 2.5 hours, which isn't bad considering it's a short bed. One trip I squeezed 19 full bags in the bed.
Not bad!
No more depending on others for a truck.
Man am I glad I bought that truck!

I don't get how somone can even Own a home without having a truck? City dwellers have less of a use for one, but as for me I'll never go without one, a Diesel one at that........... You saved enough for a truck payment in 2 1/2 hours.

I went without a truck for 2 years back in the late 70's, after a viscious divorce. I was totally frustrated and lost without a pickup. Got married, bought a house and moved, had to borrow a pickup, and swore I would NEVER be without a pickup EVER again. I use them so much in my daily activities, and especially in self employment. I could not function without a pickup now.
