Floor mats

We have a new to us 05 with the base vinyl interior. The dealer Armoraled everything so the floor is very slippery. I installed boot saver mats but they won't stay put. Tried hook and loop patches but the adhesive won't stick to the floor or mats. Any suggestions?

Clean the vinyl with dish soap and water to get rid of the greasiness from the Armorall. Try double sided tape or spray adhesive.

Windex

Spray it down, use a scrub brush, wipe it off.

Until you get the armor-all off nothing is going to stick.
My wife tried mounting her GPS in her truck right after a local place detailed the truck. It stayed on until she touched the brakes at the bottom of the driveway and then immediately fell off into her lap.

I used 409 to get the greasy residue from the Armor-all off, then it stuck just fine. Make sure whatever you use you test in an inconspicuous spot. I have never understood the obsession with the stuff. All it seems to do is make things slippery and then attract a bunch of dust and pollen.

If you have a Cabelas near-by, look for the Weather-Tech mats they put their name on. I just recently stumbled upon a pair in the bargin cave (50.00 bucks). LOVE them...
