First brake job on an 03 3500 dually!
Here's one for you guys to shoot for and with all the brake issues over the years I thought it might bring a sigh of relief. I did my first brake job on 3rd generation dually today. Fronts and rears, auto trans equipped. 118,000 miles!!! This was a 2wd auto trans truck. The guy transports RV's all over the country so there was a ton of towing miles involved, and yes...they were the original linings! (I'm going to have to look for new work if this keeps up!).

That is outstanding! I didn't keep my previous truck ('01 GMC 1/2 ton) long enough to worry about brakes, but the one before that ('93 F-150 4x4) when through front brakes every 20,000 miles just like clockwork!

Yeah, when I was rotating the tires, the brake system in these 3rd gen trucks really amazed me. 13.9" rotors all the way around. The back axle uses a hat in rotor system, so the parking brake is a drum brake and the service brakes are discs. All of the calipers are twin piston. Also in the 3rd gen, the axle bearings don't need to be repacked to change the rotors.
