Finally painted fender flares!

I was going to leave the fender flares black, but after seeing a pic of them painted I could not resist. I think that they look much better painted red, but wanted to see what everyone else thought. The only thing I am debating now is if I should have my tire gate painted or powdercoated red? Not sure if it would be to much red or not. Any opinions are great.
thanks

I love the fender flares. Looks great. I would paint or powder coat the tire gate red to match. I think it would look good. Thats my .02

The flares look great, leaving them black would have been too much black IMO...

Id say leave the tire gate alone too, still looks fine in black, in red it might just look like some jungle gym back there

Hey guys, not to hijack, but there was a post a while back on fender flares rubbing through the clear coat. Well, maybe this was mentioned before, not sure, but I found the cure besides not using them. Venturshield. Awesome stuff. I have it on the entire quarter panels of my truck and headlights. Well, I decided to cut it to fit under my fender flares. Washed/cleaned/waxed under fender flare area on the truck. Applied ventureshield twice. Yes, I doubled it up. I have been running flares for quite some time now. I decided to remove all the flares for cleaning and to see what they have been doing to the fenders themselves. Excellent. Not even the slightest mark. Venture shield is not like the thin cheap 3M material. This stuff is tough. Just thought I would share a little quality info with you guys that run flares. You wont regret appliying this stuff.

Thanks guys the painted look seems to be much better. I had no idea that the fender flares can rub through the paint. yikes. Will have to take them off and put some of the clear on.

Flares look good, I had mine painted at some local body shop and they clear coated them, they are still lookin good after two years. I think the paint brings it all together and almost makes it look stock rather than black aftermarket bolt on's.

Not trying sound like a broken record, but make sure its not 3M clear. Trust me. Use the Venture shield. Ok, I'm done preaching here. L

Great lookin truck. I like it.

I thought about painting mine, but i'm worried about the paint chipping.

On the front of the rear flares it seems like a lot of rocks get kicked up. I'm afraid the paint would be rough after a winter here.

I like the black flares and I like the red flares. Looks good either way.

Thought about getting smoke taillights or painting them? Painted mine with Nightshades.

For a comparo. Also, I got my front windows tinted since this pictures

Hey GlennRMK. You guys are going to get sick of me, but after painting the fenders, apply the Venture shield to it. And no, I don't work or sell Venture shield. Just know it works. I applied it to my flares. Absolutely cannot tell its on there, and NO rock will chip it. Try it!

I like the painted look, and I say keep the tailgate black.

On a side note, how does that magnaflow dual exhaust sound? I have been trying to decide on a set of duals, just cant make up my mind. Been really looking at the Banks duals.
