I bought EGR's first, had them painted to match, then when I installed them I learned that the fronts were a perfect fit. The rears were terrible - didn't fit close at all. After much discussion w/ the manufacturer, I learned that they were designed for the 1500, not the 2500/3500 box. So I requested and received a refund for the rears - and kept all four. Then I ordered Bushwackers. Same thing, front fit good, back was terrible so I took them back before painting. The EGR's are actually a much better looking flare (match the body lines better) than the BW's. I was told by many that the Xenon's look similar to the EGR's but the plastic won't hold paint well - so you have to leave them black which I won't do.

So..... no one really makes a good quality fender flare for the 3rd gen full size rig. I am going to try and file/sand/heat the EGR rear flares and try to make them fit since I already have a painted set and no one else make one that fits good

I have xenon flares, check my gallery. I had flares painted by friend and they do need special attention in the prep work pryor to painting. They went on easy and lined up well. They are my second set and both lined up well. I would recommend them only if you have access to a decent painter or just leave them black.

Take a look at my members pictures. I have the Bush wackers and the fit is most excelent. They went on without a hitch. I did take the extra care to put a little rtv at the joints where the mouldings met in the creases.
the Bushwackers don't rub because of the rubber edgeing the supply with them that sits on the truck and keeps them from rubbing

Xenon's! Take a look at my "Photo Gallery"! The reason I like Xenon's is because they have 3m tape that holds the top from rubbing the paint off you fenders. All other fenders flares float on top and rub the paint off.

Fender Flares

Xenon's they're the best, just need fitting, no big deal. I've put them on two different trucks, getting them for the current one next.

Bushwacker Extend-A-Fenders on mine. Check my member's pics, most are on page two. They look awesome, real head turner. I pre-installed mine before I had them painted. Fronts fit great, rear required trimming with a pair of scissors. Total pre-fit time was about an hour, then off to the painter. They have held up well through our nasty winters.

Bushwacker Extend-A-Fenders for me, too.

The rears did require a bit of massaging to install properly, but nothing major. Couldn't be happier

Another brand that hasn't been mentioned is the ATS flares that I have on my 2003 2500. ATS is an OEM manufacturer for Toyota and GM, based in California. Pretty good fit on my truck and is held on with double side tape likesome of the others. Very flexible so should be able to withstand some form of impact. oVerall, I am pleased.
