Factory Uconnect Install Done!!!
I finished my install of the factory uconnect in my 07 MegaRam which did not come with it. All the parts everyone has talked about are the Factory wiring harness (from the mirror) Telematics module and Uconnect Rearview mirror. You will also need the LXHARNESS Jet Harness (this can be purchased from Mopar Super Center online. Once you have this harness it is just a matter of taking everything apart and putting it back together. I did seperate out on the factory wiring Harness the auto dimming light wires. I did this so I could leave the orignal ones in place. The uconnect ones are the 6 and they will plug into the jet harness once taken out of the plug. I did this and heat shrank each one once I made the connection. I removed the glove box and placed the telematics module with double side tape behind it. I will be more than happy to talk anyone through it or go into more detail if needed about the install. Mopar Super Center will provide a wiring diagram and will also answer any questions if needed, they were very Helpful. By the way the LXHARNESS runs 79.95 plus shipping. It works GREAT Glad I spent the money.

I've also been contimplating the install. Could you provide the part numbers you used?
The U-Connect in my Dad's new '07 sounds alot better than the Bluetooth in his '06 BMW (on the other end).

Did you have to have the dealer configure your computer with the starscan?

No performance issues it works excellent. It is by far the best hands free system I have used. Voice prompts work, number is displayed, I have no complaints except the dealership telling me it could not be done. All parts needed can be purchase from Mopar Super Center type in uconnet in the search and you will need the one with the LXHARNESS Jet Harness as it is called. Or purchase mirror, telematics module, a harness that attaches to the mirror, and the Jet Harness.

No That is what I was thinking too but apparently this is a kit for another vehicule if you put your truck model and serial number it is a different kit you also have to tab one wire to make this work.
Call them up they will explain it to you.
