factory offset/ bolt pattern on rims
can someone give me the correct Size and offset(back spacing) and bolt pattern for my 05 ram 4x4 QC 2500.
the deal is i want new rims and upgrade to new 285-70-17 tires(prolly Nitto's or Yokohamas). I dont want the rims hanging out of the body . the manufactuerers all give there sizes in either MM or inch and it's all kinda confusing if you dont know what is on there stock.
annyone's experiences with NOT good offsets please chime in. I'm looking at Procomp rims cause there on sale and I just want to know now if the polished ones are clearcoated. thanx , crossy

i was in the same boat as you when i got my rims. I bought a set of eagle alloy rims 17x9s 8 lug with a 4.5 backspacing. Now with my tires 305s on them they stick out about 2inchs. 285s will be very small. wish i had more info to help you out with

I did a lot of looking around if you want to keep the tires tucked in get at least 5.5 -6 " of bs in no wider than 8.5 rim themn depending on the tire you run you should not be wider than the fender.
as far as tires most of the make sure you read thespecs on actual dimensions because mosat 305s are no taller than a 285 only wider its seems as though the few tires that are 295 are not real wide but have some heighth. For example in bfgs the 305 is a 35 series tire and only .1 inches taller than the 285 70series tire.
the smaller the number an the bs the further they stick out. 4.5 bs will look like you are runnin a 10" rim
