Factory hitch wiring 7-pin

Does anyone know if the center connector on the 7-pin connector is wired to the back-up lights? I want to add some Serious back up lights to my trailer and was going to use the connector pin to activate the relay. Also I have a friend that says his one of his connector pins charges his trailer battery and it's not the hot pin. I can't find anything to back this up mine says the #4 pin is hot but that's all I can find. Thanks in advance for any advice

Try this link out. If you have a meter you should be albe to read 12 volts between pin 1, the ground, and pin 7, the back up pin.

IIRC, the connector cover (on the truck) has the pinout....

It is on the cover of the plug and yes there is backup lights I have mine hooked up on the trailer. Don't know if the switch on the trans will hold up to big lights but the power will work and use a relay of the backup pin to turn them on.
